1. Hide private files using the built-in feature.

Some of the mobile phone companies provide a built-in feature that allows you to hide any private file, photo or video in a few seconds. It may be "Hidden Albums" or "Private Mode".

You need to find it in your phone. It may be found in your phone gallery or in the settings.

• Hidden Albums

Step 1: Open your gallery and locate the folders you want to hide.

Step 2: Tap the three dots where more options will be shown.

Step 3: Tap on 'hide albums' and switch the folders you want to hide.

Your folders are now hidden and if you want to see them again then switch them back.

Step 1: Open Settings in your phone.

Step 2: Find 'Private Mode' and enable it.

Step 3: It will ask you to set a password. Set your password and add any photo or video you want.

2. Hide private files using the 'dot magic' in the file manager.

Here comes the magic part. You can easily hide your private files, photos, and videos and no one can find them. This method is available on almost every mobile phone. You just need to put a dot "." before naming a folder. It will automatically become hidden and no one can see it via the gallery. Following are the steps to hide private files, photos, and videos:

Step 1: Open file manager on your mobile phone.
Step 2: Create a folder and name it. Put a dot "." before the name. Eg.- ".danprivatefolder".
Step 3: The folder will be hidden on your phone.
Step 4: Now just move your private images or videos in this folder. Your job's done!

If you want to explore the private files again then open the file manager and tap on three dots to show hidden folders.

3. Hide private files using Third-party apps.

But the best app you should use is "AppLock". I have personally used this app and have the best experience above all. You can not only hide private files in this app but also lock your other apps with a PIN or Pattern and even use Fingerprint Lock.

Here are the steps below to hide your files in "AppLock".
Step 1: Open the play store, search AppLock and install it.
Step 2: Open the app. Enter the PIN or Pattern to lock the app with a password. Allow the required permissions.

Step 3: Go to "Vault". Add photos or videos that you want to hide. Another option is- Go to the gallery. Tap and hold on the photo or video. Tap on "Share" and select "Move into Vault".

To completely hide your AppLock, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Open AppLock and go to "Protect".
Step 2: Tap "Magic" and enable "Hide AppLock".

1. Start from the gallery - Open the 'Gallery' and Select any picture. Tap on 'share' and select 'Open Vault'.
